What can I expect?

This entry-level qualification provides you with the skills and knowledge to work alongside an Allied Health professional in an assistant role helping patients with rehabilitation. You will learn how to prepare programs and reports, supporting better health outcomes for patients. 

Your career in an Allied Health Assistant role can profoundly affect the lives of the people you support. In this qualification, you will gain a solid understanding of the foundational principles for recognising healthy body systems, assisting with an allied health program, and interpreting and applying medical terminology, which will place you in a great position to apply for Allied Health Assistant roles.

Studying a Certificate III Allied Health Assistance will open a pathway to a diverse range of fields to work within, including Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Optometry, Medical Radiology and Podiatry.

Entry requirements

Students are required to provide us with the following security clearances when they enrol: 

  • National Police Check or Blue Card/Yellow Card, dependent on organisational requirements

Workplace practical requirements

You will be required to follow your training plan.  This will be discussed and agreed upon at induction. If you do not meet the obligation of the agreed timeframe, other charges may be applicable.  Maximum time frames are subject to volumes of learning and qualifications being superseded.

Further charges may be applied if student obligations are not met in accordance with the agreed timeframes stated in the student training plan, discussed and determined at induction. Maximum time frames are subject to recommended study load and potential nationally authorised changes to qualification criteria.

Apply for the course you want with College Australia by completing the quick and easy online Enrolment Form.

When we receive your application, we will send you an email regarding the pre-enrolment eligibility requirements, including a Language Literacy and Numeracy assessment, Recognition of Prior Learning application and an outline of documentation required for your enrolment to proceed.

Meet your mentor

We will call you to confirm details, discuss eligibility, workplace and assessment requirements and ensure everything is correct.

This interview forms part of your orientation into your course and will allow you to ask further questions.

You will then be required to make payment.

Once payment is received, we will then send you the Confirmation of Enrolment (COE). This Includes details of your Educator and your Training Plan outlining the units you are undertaking and due dates.

Commence your studies

You will receive an email with your login details. Remember these details and bookmark the login URL in your browser. Logging in will give you access to your first unit in the online portal.

Your Educator will contact you to progress the RPL process if you are undertaking this pathway.
