Workplace practical requirements

What can I expect?

The Individual Support – Ageing skill set will support career diversification for people working in the community or disability sectors by developing skills and knowledge to help the ageing community.

You will build a solid understanding of the needs and aspirations of older people while building on your knowledge of support work. You will achieve this understanding by learning the importance of choice for an individual and how to build relationships.  You will develop strategies and communication techniques for working with people with dementia and looking after their personal support in a dignified and respectful manner.
