This qualification reflects the role of a qualified cook (Chef) and is the prerequisite for entry into the Diploma of Hospitality Management course.
Diploma of Hospitality
This course provides a flexible career pathway to develop supervision and management abilities building on basic grounding skills in a range of hospitality areas such as bars, liquor and food service, hotel reception, front office and gaming, as well as finance, human resources, purchasing and stores.
The Diploma provides a flexible career pathway to develop supervision and management skills associated with quality assurance and best practice. Students may expect to gain positions at management level in front office, bars and restaurants, reception and gaming, and other associated hospitality management areas.
For those seeking to advance their career and undertake supervisory duties, the Diploma of Hospitality can serve as a pathway to university study with our pathway partner the University of Southern Queensland.
